Try Mozilla or even the latest beta of Netscape 7 (same thing actually)
which has an option in the preferences panel
(Edit/Preferences/Advanced/Scripts & Windows/) under "Allow Webpages to" and
you can uncheck the option for "Open un-requested windows" which should
knock some of those little devils out.
