Thanks for the info, this may explain trhe difficulties Im having. I have got the control panel etc and have got the bios version 1.31 and flash program but get errors when flashing the bios. After the first attempt my Mac didnt boot and I had to flash it on my misses PC.
The flash chip number is M28F256-15C1 V58SP9740A Think I got the right chip.
