Any way you can get hold of a firewire equipped DV Camcorder?  I've been
editing footage using my B&W and firewire just rocks.  I also used iMovie on
my 7300 with 4megs of VRAM and it's fine.

Get yourself a firewire card (they're cheap) and a firewire CD burner OR an
ATA controller and then you can use a supported CD burner.
