You can, but there *are* internal SCSI CD burners....

Fast scsi is faster than standard SCSI.... 10 mb/s vs 5 mb/s, IIRC. Of 
course, if you end up doing the PCI USB/Firewire thing, those drives 
(Firewire) might just be faster anyway.

I'd think a *hardware* modem would work...just not a Win(lose)modem.... 
it's more a "check online" issue, I guess.
