I recently got my dad a 7500/100/48MB, which right now is running 9.1 (a
bit slow)

I was offered a cheap 150MHz 604 Apple processor card from another
machine,
and as the seller claimed it would work in the 7500 I bought it. When I got
the card
it said "For 9500 only", and on checking the part no in Apples
documentation
the claim was that it was only supported in the 9500, and that stability
could be poor
in other machines.

Has anyone tried? Should I try to get my money back, or try the card in the
machine?
My dad lives a couple of hours from me, and I'll only go there in a couple
of weeks.

TIA

Martin

PS: In this part of the world cheap was DKK 150, which is like USD 20.-.
Compare that to
new G3 upgrades costing more than USD 200.-
