I'd like to use one of my 7500s or 8500s to capture video from VHS and Hi8 tapes. Is it possible, using the built-in video circuitry on these machines, to capture signals from these tape formats without noticeably diminishing the already limited picture quality that they provide? If so, what speed CPU card would I need to do this? (Presently, the fastest CPU card I have for these is a 180 MHz 604e, but I'm looking for a G3 anyway.)
