I'd like to use one of my 7500s or 8500s to capture video from VHS and Hi8 tapes. Is
it possible, using the built-in video circuitry on these machines, to capture signals
from these tape formats without noticeably diminishing the already limited picture
quality that they provide? If so, what speed CPU card would I need to do this?
(Presently, the fastest CPU card I have for these is a 180 MHz 604e, but I'm looking
for a G3 anyway.)

Does the amount of VRAM affect video capture, or video output through the 8500's
special ports?
