In case anyone wants to know. . . Open the Additional Patterns scrapbook beside the open Appearance Panel Drag the desired pattern into the Appearance window Click on the Appearance window Then choose "Pattern Name" under edit to name it. Hmmm, musical notes on staffs, on a deep gold background. . .
