The MaxPowr MP card will work in any PCI Mac which supports a Mach5 or non-Mach5 processor card. I don't believe the Apple MP card will work in a Mach5 motherboard (it was only offered in a 9600MP, anyway, and that wasn't faster than 200 MHz). I've successfully used my MaxPower MP card in nearly every Mac in my lab ... everything from 7500s to Mach5 9600s. >> And will the multi-processing work? >> The only ap which supports MP specifically is Photoshop. ASP will recognize both the Apple and the MaxPowr MP cards. ASP says the processors are 604e's and that there are two (2) of them. MaxPowr calls their cards a "400 MHz 604e card", but it is really a dual 200 MHz 604e card. There was another card, which may have been called a "450 MHz 604e card", but was really a dual 225 MHz 604e card. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
