Hi all, constant lurker here...

I just did a quick search of the archive for the last month or so and
saw no posts about this, so here goes:

I've got a PowerTower Pro 200 (w/ a Umax s900 200MHz dual processor
card, no cache). I've been thinking about installing Linux on it and
was wondering if anyone has any anecdotes to pass on about Linux on
PCI Power Macs or MP Power Macs like the 9500MP or 9600MP.

What's the best distro to go with? I've got YDL 2.0/2.3, MkLinux DR3
and Pre-R2, Mandrake 8.0 and 8.2... I can get any of the others
(though LinuxPPC seems to be MIA) - SuSE, Debian, GenToo, etc - if you
folks think one is better than another.

Will I run into any configuration troubles? Like I said, I've got a
dual 200MHz 604e card, IMS TwinTurbo 128M8, and two other PCI cards
that I don't care to use under Linux (DaynaPORT 10BT enet and TurboTV
tv tuner - I can take these out)...

I welcome any thoughts or tips about where to look to research this
myself!

Peace out,
Drew
