What i can tell is that is you intend to put OS X in an old mac is to
reserve a partition for it in the first 8 Gb (even a little less like 7,9 Gb
because some had problems with strictly 8Gb), then 1 Gb for OS 9.1 (all the
9 systems i use have no more than 1 Gb and are half full) then a partition
for your Linux (or swap this two last system partitions if linux have some
limitations like OS X) and partition the rest between app/data.
Works perfect at home (several little system partitions) to repair/rebuild
partition systems faster (well it works perfectly at work too ..)
