Well, now that I've gotten the PTP to boot again, I have some hard
disk trouble. But after I get *that* cleared up, I think I'll be
installing Mandrake. I'd like to go w/ YDL ('cause it's PPC only, and
you gotta support the PPC), but Mandrake's install process seems
easier.
I've helped install Red Hat on an Alpha, and I've seen Mandrake
running on the (very slow) SPARCStation IPX (50MHz)... But I'm having
a devil of a time getting either YDL or MkLinux unto my PB5300ce (yes,
it's possible). I can get into the installer for MkLinux, the drives
are partitioned correctly, but it keeps complaining about my having to
designate a swap partition (which I've done, over and over and over
again). So who knows...
