Get rid of that 1710AV, it's a piece of crap. It has a long track record of
unreliability, & is one of the worst Apple products ever. Mine died 1.5 yrs
ago, & Apple insulted me when I called them up about it. The guy got real
nasty with me, & wouldn't do anything. Apple just called me up when my
G4/667 1 yr warranty expired, & I got this jerk who ran a piercing noise
into my ear. (tactics, to get callers attention). When I brought up the
problems with my 1710AV, the jackoff hung up on me. Screw Apple. I'm
reminded about Jaguars (the luxury sedan), who have good looks but are
notoriously unreliable.

I use a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 920 (I got it for $450 a year ago), it's far
better.

I'm actually having doubts about Apple. The whole elitist mentality. The
hardware is so freakin' expensive. I don't mind paying a little more for
quality. But, the pricey stock pro keyboard & pro mouse..SUCK. I just got
an Adesso EKB-2100 USB keyboard (w/power key) & Logitech MX500 optical mouse
(8 keys). It made the overpriced Apple hardware look like crap. The
useability of my G4/667 just went up ten-fold.

I think my next machine will be a PC. I'm getting reports of stability of
XP, & I can build my own PC sh*tbox.
