I've been to the download site for the freeware commercial version (2.1.7?) and the manual states that Winblows 95 or 98 is required to use it. I really don't want to contaminate my 9600 with either; DOS 6.22 is bad enough. I'm mainly using the card so I can play some DOS games. I don't know why the site states that you need their version to run the card beyond OS 8.1. I'm running 8.6 with Apple's PC Setup 1.6.4 and the card/software works fine.
