Maybe start with stock 7600 cpu only, no G3? Or maybe you tried that already.

When I try to boot from the CD, the computer freezes at the "welcome to macos" screen. It's been doing this for about 3 days now while I've tried everyting I could think of. I've replaced the PRAM battery, pulled/reseated ram, pulled/reseated PCI cards, Pulled/reseated G3 zif and finally returned the computer to stock. Each time I get the freeze at startup.
