Some questions for the Radeon 7000 owners out there...

I've been doing my homework and the 7000 doesn't seem to be the great
solution to my viewing needs that I thought it would be. Apparently the dual
VGA monitor support is deeply flawed, and doesn't work in MacOSX on beige
PowerMacs. This is a problem.

The target system I'm upgrading is a G4 ugpraded 9600. It will run MacOS 9.1
and MacOS X.2. And it needs to drive 2 StudioDisplay 17s at 1600x1200x32bit.
To be honest, I don't need 3D acceleration because I don't care much for
games (I have a TNT2-loaded PC for that), just really good high-res
Photoshop and Flash performance.

Would it be a better idea to instead get 2x ATI Rage 128 cards (or similar)
instead? I can spare an extra slot.

Thoughts?

Cheers, Ben.
