It all comes down to how much you have to spend and what you expect to 
do with it. There's a big money gap between modestly upgrading a 7300 
and buying one of those upside-down bowels. As far as tinkering and 
help, the 7300 and others of the same case are very easy to work with 
and there are plenty of helpful people here.

Disk Doctor is on the Norton Utilites CD. There are tons of them on 
eBay. If you get a copy I suggest not installing it on your hard drive, 
only booting from it as needed. I made the mistake of installing it on 
my 9600 a while back--headache.
