That's interesting. The last Magma white paper I read (which was a long time ago) indicated that the host card has a PCI-PCI Bridge on it which is used to ship the signals off to another PCI-PCI Bridge in teh chassis. The fact that they were using something like a 68 wire cable between the host card and chassis seemed to support that idea, since you need in the neighborhood of 50 wires to carry the PCI bus signals. So have they always been using a high speed serial link, or is this something they switched to recently?
