Without a USB2 driver, you can't use USB2, but that's it. USB 2 cards 
should all be USB 1.1 compliant as well; I had no troubles with my 
Sonnet Trio's USB port. I can't vouch for USB 2 performance, since I 
don't have any USB 2.0 devices..
