If you don't enable the cache on these system with something like
L2Cache config (from OWC <http://www.macsales.com> it's downloadable
from the OS X section) or Cache Control X (from Powerlogix), your
system will run like molasses in January. That said, a G3/300 is
definitely on the low end for OS X, especially on a slow bus system
like a 7300.

4566680 nope, mine works, though it's an AppleDesign keyboard.
That's odd.

OS X does not support internal floppies. There are hacks to get it
working, but I forget where. USB floppies do allegedly work. (hey,
Apple hasn't shipped a computer with a floppy drive in years...and I
haven't seen reliable floppy disks in about as long...you wouldn't
*believe* how often a student comes into our office in the college with
a floppy disk in hand "Something's wrong with this disk...I can't read
it!")

Then you almost *certainly* don't have the cache working!

But hie thee hence to the Unsupported OS X list (also a LowEndMac list,
where there are lots of people who might even remember where that
floppy drive fix is located. ;-)
