I've used versions 4 and 5 of Nisus Writer for several years and really like it. I usually do documents with lots of text and illustrations together, and Nisus makes it easy to do this.
Also have used, believe-it-or-not(R), Canvas 5 to make lots of documents that required extensive illustrations. It has good page-layout tools and is easy to work with (however, v.5 is a bit buggy and crashes too often; not sure if newer versions 6 - 8 are more stable or not...if anyone out there uses Deneba's Canvas 6 - 8, please let me know how well it behaves for you! I'd like to upgrade if stability has improved!) Recently I bought Appleworks 6 to be able to open newer versions of Word documents that I sometimes receive from PC-shackled co-workers and friends. ---Alex -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
