But the questioner wanted to run
Word 4.0 on his mac,
and he was having difficulty doing so.

Perhaps you would like to start a new thread,
and pose the question:
"What word processing programs are available,
that are not from Microsoft?"

examples:
Nisus Writer
Mariner
Write Now 4.2
Think Free??? Free Office??? (i cannot remember this one)
Word Perfect 3.5e
Star Office (might not be correct name)(for sys 10 only)
