Recently having had to get a different ISP makes me appreciate Earthlink
all the more.
With my 7600 based machine and a BestData external modem and Earthlink's
modem driver
I was consistently connected at 57,667 . Now where there is no Earthlink
local dialup i am sometimes connected at 33,334, 43,333, 45,667 or if very
lucky 46,667. Continued redialing is often necessary
to get the upper range.

So if possible I recommend Earthlink and their modem driver. DSL may off
plenty of incentives to get you in the door but down the line your rate
will be fifty or more dollars a month.
