Be advised that the processor daughter card's heat sink will barely clear the 
oscillator can, as-is.

If you add a socket to the daughter card ... and this actually is a pretty 
good idea ... you will have to mill the underside of the heat sink in order 
to accommodate the added height attributable to the socket.

This is not a particularly difficult machining job, but it requires detailed 
drawings and access to a milling machine and supporting tooling.
