If the iMac's disc dosens't work, you could always use the "OS X.1 Update CD 
Hack."

You of course know that an oldworld Mac will need special software to run X?  I 
couldn't get it to work on my 7300, but I think I just need to plug the monitor 
into the original video out slot.
