Actually, as long as you are using OS 10.1.5 or less, 200 MHz 604e's are OK 
for getting a basic feel for OS X. I use it on my 7300/200/512 RAM on a 
second drive.

For a simple learning experience it is a lot cheaper than buying another 
G3/G4 card or an OS X supported  Mac.

As far as web browsing goes (with my slow dial-up modem) with either AOL for 
OS X or the OS X installed Internet Explorer, OS X  delivers about the same 
speed as AOL 5.0 or Netscape 4.8 with OS 8.6 on the other drive.  --glen
