Actually the crazy part is that Mac OS X v.10.1.x is pretty usable on 
many PCI Macs. It isn't up to my taste as to me it feels more like 
hobby play, which I already enough time and space in to not try this, 
and not so much productivity. I friend of mine runs it on his 8600/300 
with a 604 and a bunch of RAM. It is fat and happy. Its really kind of 
a crutch for OS X though, you can tell you are running it on a system 
it isn't meant for.
