Hello everyone,

Im fixing up an old computer I bought at a school for my sisters family.
They have an old Windows 3.1 Pentium with a 14.4 modem, that was a hand me
down in the family. Theyve tried using that old machine for AOL and word
processing for the last six months. AOL email is ok. However, my sister is
now complaining that it is slow and not good with web sites. Imagine that
:-)

The computer Im readying for them started out as a Power Mac 5200. I put
in a 5400/180 motherboard, 64 megs RAM, and a 2 gig hard drive. Im going
to load 8.6 and ClarisWorks 4.

They use AOL, so I downloaded AOL 5 for Mac. Is that a good version to run
on this machine? (I dont use AOL.) If not, what version should I load?

Also, I was thinking of IE 5 for a browser. Any suggestions there?

Oh, modems. I have Global Village Gold (14.4) that they can use, but I was
wondering if I could find a faster one on the cheap.

Any other suggestions would be helpful too.

Thanks,
--
