Excellent choice for an upgrade!! 5400 mobo in a 5200 case. 180 mhz
isn't as nice as 200 or 225, but it will certainly be a smoking good
starter system until the monitor gives out.

As for modems... Global Village teleport platinum is my preferred choice
for the LC variety of computer. Heck for $10-15 + shipping you should be
able to get one on ebay. They work well, and for the money, who gives a
crap if it gets zapped by lightning. It is a 33.6 speed modem, and I've
seen it reach download speeds of 56K, so, what more could you want out
of a little spitfire like a 5400/180?

As for the browser... I have been using IE 4.5 and it flies along quite
well. I do not know if you can use a browser with AOL, I thought it was
an integrated system. Probably not altogether correct on that last point.
