Back when I was in college, file and disk swapping were so common, I had tons 
of disks with nVIR (or something) on them.  It was kind of like a sexual 
revolution gone horribly wrong, with most of the population walking around with 
Syph.  Of course, that was many moons ago.  Last virus I saw was included in a 
nonactive state on a MacAddict CD.  Anyone remember that?  It wasn't Autostart.
