Hi gang,

Just did yet another stupid move but everything seems O.K. !

Thinking (if you can call it that) that because my scanner wasn't powered up,
I could just plug my external (terminated) CD ROM into SCSI Port 2
on the scanner and so I did.

Then I see by Profiler that the 9500 is perfectly aware
of the added SCSI device :0
Duh! Of course the port would be "live" as far as the bus is concerned
even though the scanner wasn't on.

So anyway. . . is everything optimal with this configuration?

HD_____ 0
Internal CD______3
Scanner______5
External Rom (end of chain-terminated) _____ 6

Can one make a terminator out of an extra SCSI cable?

Thanks,
Terry
