I'm the guy who was reading about RAM interleaving and wondered if that
might be causing error types 2 and 3 while in Netscape. So I am the one who
turned the thread toward a quest for NS info.

Thomas you don't tell us what version of Explorer you have or the
configuration that you run it on. If it works for you that is great. But I
turned to Netscape to solve all of the problems IE had on my old machine.
And the version of IE I was using
demanded EVERY MB of spare memory it could get ! On 680X0 or PPC. I went to
NS on the advice of an Earthlink Mac tech.

I AM the guy frequently posting in order to find info about Netscape in
order to solve the problem. I ran NS 4.76 with *.1 for about 2 years with
relatively few problems. 4.78 wasn't too bad either. But 4.79 and OS 8.6
has been a trial.
Repeated installs of versions of IE have hadf disastrous results for me.

If you don't read negative posts about Exporer here why would you think you
would get an inbox full of hate mail ? Is it because you suspect that
listers here probably have abandoned IE from experience on their Macs?
After all why would there be negative posts about software relatively few
on the list use ? I have no idea if this is so, but it may be the case.

If I thought there was a version of IE that would do away with my browser
problems
I would gladly migrate to it. However my experience with IE has not caused
me to think it is a better way to go. IMHO
