Hey all, Well, I got my 9600 and all the parts finally, and I'm up and running with OS X Jaguar. Thanks to everyone here for all of the helpful advice!
I do have a problem though. The ACARD ATA/66 IDE card works fine with my hard drive. However, when I tried to plug in my HP 9510i CD-RW, the machine just hung at the grey Apple logo with the spinning thing at the bottom. After unplugging the drive and rebooting, all was well. What I'm wondering, is, is there any special drivers or firmware updates for the card available that would possibly expand support so that I could use this burner, or am I pretty much screwed as far as this particular drive is concerned? Or, are there other things prohibiting this thing from working? Thanks! Stace -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
