I have an xlr8 ZIF carrier with g4/450 in my 9600 and I seem to remember something like this happening once. Since it's freezing at the happy Mac I assume it's a hardware problem. Did you just install the card or did this suddenly happen after using it? If you're just installing it make sure the DIP switches are set properly. What kind/sizes/refresh rates of RAM do you have? Some may argue this point but it's best to have identical spec RAM installed, especially refresh rate. Upgrades really work the RAM so it could be a stick that was marginal and pushed over the edge. Remove all but one stick of RAM and try from there. If it doesn't work switch it with another. Try unplugging the computer and removing the PRAM battery. Let it sit overnight to reset. -+-+-+- RPM -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
