You probably would be better off with a truely modern display card (like a
Radeon), but, as the owner of a 6500, I have to say that the built-in
display is pretty snappy, even in the face of my beige/platinum G3's, which
has the slightly more aggressive Rage Pro accelerator. The Rage II on the
6500's motherboard (it uses 2 MB of SGRAM, not upgradeable, no system
memory, BTW) is *way* faster than any road Apple's. But both the Rage
accelerators are pretty puny these days compared with today's gaming
acceleration technology.
