I've always had good luck with Yellow Dog.  On x86 I use Mandrake, but
if Yellow Dog were available for them I'd consider switching.  Another
possibilty is to run Darwin, but it's not pretty.  The advantages are
that it natively uses hfs+, and that it works with netinfo.  I'd agree
YDL is probably the best.
