The problem with any OS higher than 8.1 on the 7100 is with the RAM. 
Newer OSs require more RAM and the 7100 cannot accept more ram. Even on 
OS 8.1 you need to pair down unused extentions and Control Panels so you 
will have enough memory to run moderately modern applications.

As mentioned; internet use on a 7100 is very slow. I wouldn't use a 7100 
at all. You can buy a 7300/200 for $40. or less and it or the slower 
7300/180 will do the net very well.
