I am looking into some simple upgrades to my 7200/90 and was looking for
some advice other than go buy a new Mac...

Yeah, I hate it when people say that. If I had the bucks to do that I'd be on another list. Or not need a list 1

PCI USB card upgrade to add USB capabilities.

Got my first 2 port Belkin at Walmart $ 19. 95 Just got another at Offive Max same price.
OS 9 or USB card support 1.4.1 will run it.

ATA IDE upgrade card so as to use regular IDE drives.

That one I have not looked into myself. The Cards are costly even used. Even big SCSI drives are cheaper.

Mac OS 9.? so as to use CarbonLib to run some MacOS ham radio software.

I use CarbonLib 1.1.6 with OS 8.6 . iTunes too.

Sonnett upgrade card for MORE POWER!!! (add in Tim Allen grunts)

Sonnet-Schmonet get a ZIF adapter for continued upgrades. :- O
G3 chips are about $5 and up G4s ? don't know ZIF adapter delivered new in box less than $ 75.

Just don't have the money right now to buy a newer Mac so would like to make this one a little better for a while...

Heck YEAH !
