I'll try to make this short and sweet. Previous setup: Sys 8.5, PPC 8500/120, 228 Mb RAM, AOL 5.0, InternetExplorer 5.1.6 (it's the most recent version, i think it 5.1.6). Everything worked fine.
New setup: Everything is the same except now with Sys 8.6. There are periodic freezes when using IE. For about 30 seconds, the system will hang up. The only thing that works is the cursor will follow the mouse. The cursor will not animate if it's in thinking cursor mode, but it will move. Otherwise, everything freezes. Mouse clicks are stored and will be executed upon resumption of activity. I can't figure out what I'm doing immediately prior to the freeze (if anything) to trigger the freeze. No other problems that I can identify. Is this a known problem? Any help? That wasn't as short as I had hoped. Sorry. I have also not been monitoring this list very closely, so if this topic was recently covered, just lemme know and I'll search for it in the archives.
