Well it's been a couple of weeks now and I have been
busy and frustrated trying to add USB to my 7500. I
have upgraded to 8.6 and downloaded the spockets and
usb files from the Apple support site. The card I am
trying to use is a Belkin 2-port that claims to work
with Mac OS 8.6 and up. I have tried varios usb
devices: camera, tablet, mouse and card reader. The
software loads fine but no data from the card
transfers or no action on the wacom tablet. The card
shows up on the system profiler as a pci card but no
other info is recognized.
I tried one other card before I added 8.6 with
the same results. Could I have a "bad" card. It was
purchased locally @ best buys and is the only 2-port
card availiable locally. There are other 4-port or 2
usb/2 firewire cards on the shelf.
No comp usa or apple dealers local

Thanks for your patience and advice!
