Hi Listers: Pulled and zapped the VRAM and PRAM once again. Still looking for any bad memory but found nothing. Installed 1.4 Mb floppy drive received yesterday. It reads the disks but it won't format or read any of my disks. Won't read a CDR disk with OS 7.6.1 Update. Still get the finder type 11 and type 10 errors. Even got a bus error last night. I rechecked the and made sure the memory was secured in the slots. No bus error message after that. Checked the battery and it looked brand new. Will change it anyway.
The memory shows as 32Mb, virtual and total 34Mb, so I'd need to add memory for OS 8.1. But how can I be sure that the system is stable? Finally, A wireless phone is located near it.
