My only other thought is that perhaps Mike has a G4 Server rather than a regular G4 machine. My only experience with the G4s is the iMac Flat Panel. Anyone know how to tell the G4 Server and regular G4 apart?

One of the reasons they called it SCSI Voodoo was that SCSI sometimes worked when it shouldn't. That is usually not the case with new world machines. They are pretty much black and white in how they perform. And, I have to agree with David that this "should not work." Yeah, Mike, I know it is working for you. But, I think these is something we are all missing.

It isn't SCSI to begin with, it's IDE in this box. The other thoughts I had were that 10.2 has this ability or I indeed have a Server and don't know it. I agree with Apple, they would know eh? It shouldn't work, all I have been trying to say is it does in my machine, someone just needs to exploit the cause.
