Does anybody know a way to extract information from a Zip 100 cartridge which refuses to mount? I have tried several drives and in each I get: "Click... Click... Click... Click... would you like to initialize this disk?"
Norton 6 does not seem to see it unless there is a trick I don't know to force it!
I would hate to think the information is in there but irretrievable.
Sounds like the click of death, which means the DRIVE is dying or has died.
My wife's 7220 (4400) has problems with some floppies, even after I format them on my 9600, her machine says they are unreadable, do I want to initialize them? So false error messages can occur too.
