I bought a 7200/120 a few months ago. It has 32mb RAM and was loaded up with
OS 8.6. I'm finding it too slow, so I was wondering if putting the free OS
7.5.5 on it would improve things? I mainly use it for the internet (running
through a LAN), MS Word 6, and a few old games.

I just want to make sure that I won't lose any essential things like TCP/IP
support, as the computer didn't come with any OS disks.

I'd rather not upgrade its ram, as it is fairly expensive in Australia
(AU$44 for 32mb RAM).

I am running 8.6 on a 7200/90 with 80 MG of real RAM and really like it. Mostly the stability factor. I envy you 120 mhz folks, though I guess I got the RAM while you have the clock. If you choose to go down, I will be interested to hear if does speed things up for. The other about 8.6 is that I find it works better with the powerpc processor and native software.
