I have a 21" Apple multiscan monitor on my 7300/200. It was fine until they
started doing construction on the apartment upstairs. Since they started
however, I have brief flashes to yellow tint over my monitor display. IT only last
for araction of a second. I switched between built in and ixmicro display
driver card and same thing.
Does it sound like I am having electrical interference, or is my monitor
dying?
Opinions welcome on or off list. I am panicking as I cant afford a new
monitor. Anyone experience this? Today for example it is barely happening at all.
Thanks,
Tom

A yellow flash on a monitor indicates the blue gun is briefly cutting out. Check and make sure the video cable is firmly seated on both the computer and monitor. Try flexing it to see if it is causing the problem. The flicking could also indicate a failing solder joint in the monitor, probably in the gun assembly or high voltage section.. If you give the monitor a sound rap on the side toward the rear, and it flicks yellow you know that is the problem. The downside of this test would be that it might flick yellow and not back.
