Anyone on the list have experience with these newer drives? What
advantage(s) do they have over UltraATA-133 drives. OWC has a PCI
controller card.

Their main advantage is they offer a higher theoretical throughput (I think 150MB/sec). They also are simpler to install: one connector on the controller goes to one drive with one data and one power cable. Of course no single drive can sustain the throughput. Right now this is leading edge technology, and you are paying a premium for it. You can generally buy the same drive with an ATA-133 interface for 1/2 the price. Eventually, the price for SATA devices _should_ end up lower for the same drive.
