I've never posted to this list, but read it regularly and enjoy the good info. I have installed OS X on my Beige G3 Desktop. Recently, I had the the wild idea
that I would attempt to start up from a USB external drive that had a carbon copy clone made of my operating system, but alas, it
did not start! Well, I shut the machine down and unplugged the drive. I also installed a pioneer 106 dvd burner and it wont boot from that. I disconnected everything and tried the HD only; no go. Then I put the old apple cd drive in it and attempted another boot- nothing! AND I tried another hard drive that had a bootable OS 9 operating sys. on it; yet another disappointment. I have even hit the reset button. NOw, it won't start, even after burning incense to it ;) I need help. Thank You for listening and your help. ("I need a hug"- sigh!)
