I wonder if she is having power supply problems, 
like it may be weak. or
the sonnet is failing. try testing memory with 
tech tools, if you don't
have pref's set it won't check memory every time. 
the sonnet may have
test utilities, try them. if you have a extra 
hard drive try starting
with a clean install, gradually adding software 
back in. also pay
attention to house lights, if they dim, your 
power company may be
causing problems, requiring a line conditioner to 
correct.
