A Very Nice offer, but you have to understand something...

While Macs are a great distraction for me, and I enjoy working on, discussing and using my machines immensely, it is not my entire existence. I myself can go on w/o ever knowing fully what "filtering" is, or how to implement it. My ISP (AOL! "UGH!") allows me to list my inbox by subject; so I can simply zap the offers for "Instant Male Enhancement" or any other trash...
...plus, since I am with the hated AOL, I fear that IF I ever asked for help, I would have to wade thru the various wise-butt comments ridiculing me and AOL before I got any help w/ filtering.
So, how 'bout it guys? I for one am FOR the proposal to tag the e-mail subject lines. The Swap List is very easy to manage in my mailbox because of it...

I'm fine with the setup the way it is, as I too filter based on the TO address. If someone wants mail sorted or managed, it behooves that person to figure out a way to do it with existing tools, not have everyone else suffer with additional text or hassle to satisfy the few who want the work done for them. Just my $0.02 USD, but perhaps if "busy" users took more interest in how and why things work on their computer rather than asking to be isolated in the interest of "convenience", there would be far fewer instances of SoBig and MyDoom and the rest of that nonsense that exploits the general perception that a computer, which is a general purpose device, should be able to function with the ease of a single-function appliance. I feel a rant coming on, and I don't want to get started on something that will get deleted anyway, so I'll just say that I'm fine with the way things are now, and leave it at that :D
