I've also noticed that it now takes me a little longer to go through my inbox. Any lister know why Mozilla is slower that netscape?

The Mozilla suites have nothing in common with any version of Netscape prior to 6. Netscape 6 and later are based on the Mozilla, but before that they were a proprietary software package, much like Internet Explorer. I think a lot of the slowness comes from the increased memory footprint and the change to a different HTML rendering engine, but I can't say for sure. I've had a fair number of problems with Netscape 4.7 and modern sites that use a lot of Javascript, so I switched to Mozilla under OS 9.1. It is slower, but at least the Javascript works correctly now. You can get a couple of variants of newer Mozilla (1.3.x) for OS 8.6 and up that have pretty good mailbox filters. Much better than Mozilla 1.2.1 or Netscape 4.7.

Here's one of the variants that's under active development, if you're interested in finding out more.

I have another version of Mozilla 1.3 for OS 9 that I downloaded, but can't find the website for. If you're interested, email me off-list and I'll try to get it to you.
