True that ! The operative part of the phrase here is " some of us " .



Agreed - makes a nice change doesn't it. But the arguments without
sticking to facts or discussing resolutions are still there. And I've not
seen much evidence from the admins to keep it on track.

They're tired afterall the thread drift warnings of last weekend. And so far this has produced some constructive exchange of ideas.




 And the fact that we have heard from some listers who both filter mail
 and like the prefix for it's helpfulness gives  hope that those who have
trouble with it can make a painless adjustment in their user settings .


I actually think that it's not the user settings which are at fault but the server setup. Looking at the [CUBE] list that I'm on, the 'Re:' always prefixes the [CUBE] tag. I would guess that this is what is throwing out the threading for some people.


Well that gives a possible start for an adjustment which might accomplish the needed solution.
